"A Christmas Sunset"©
Acrylic 16x20 in The sun is setting,
It's tentacles clinging
to the mountains,
reluctant to leave.
The Saguaros proclaim:
"It's our turn now,
you've done enough.
We're also stars
in this Christmas show!"

There are places on this earth
that are so holy,
so filled with grace.
They may not be huge temples,
filled with gold,
but earthen structures,
built by simple hands.
Hands that say:
"this is my offering to you,
my God,
so that I may stop here,
and thank you,
for all you have given me."
